1. Purpose Fixed telephony clients of OTE are new provided with new options in bill payment. OTE bills can be payed through a network of 25 banks following a co-operation aggreement between OTE and the banking system that took place on January 2003. 2. Procedure OTE clients, in co-operation with their financial institution, can choose between the pre-authorised and non-pre-authorised payment methods. It is also possible to place an order for bill pre-authorised paymentt at the most convenient OTE store. - Pre-authorised direct debits are based on an initial general mandate given by the debtorto her (his) financial institution. Following such an agreement the bank debits the debtor’s account with the amount due to OTE and credits the funds to the creditor’s account. The debtor’s account is debited on the maturity date (due date) of the bill. - Non-pre-authorised direct debits require a specific agreement from the debtor for each individual transaction to be effected. OTE clients can use non-pre-authorised direct debits either by visiting their banks’s branch network or OTE, or through the alternative channels provided by their bank (phone, ATM, internet). The debtor has to provide to the bank a minimum set of required information, such as: amount due, date of payment, Account code (or identifier). 3.
