On February 2nd, 2022, the Greek Independent Authority for Public Revenue (IAPR) made available to the country’s citizens the IRIS online payments service, which is developed and supported by DIAS S.A. in cooperation with several Greek credit institutions (Alpha Bank, National Bank of Greece, Eurobank και Piraeus Bank). The service may be used to pay all types of tax liabilities.
The IRIS service facilitates and accelerates the tax debt payment process enabling transactions to initiate and be completed within the IAPR’s electronic environment. The user retains control over their payment via the e-banking or mobile banking application, offered by the Payment Service Provider of their choice.
The IRIS payment service enables IAPR to be notified of the tax debt collection within a few seconds, on a 24/7 basis. Hence, tax clearance certificates of natural and legal persons are issued and received in real time.
