WEPs constitute a set of guiding principles aiming to promote practices of equal opportunities within the workplace as well as within society in general. DIAS has proven over time that it embraces such principles and that it commits to respecting every aspect of diversity within the context of its daily operations. DIAS’s culture of inclusivity is cultivated on the management level and has been supported by the Company’s personnel.
Statistics demonstrate DIAS’s commitment to gender equality, as 45% of managerial roles are held by women, despite men constituting 64% of the company's workforce. Correspondingly,5 out 9 members of DIAS’s Board of Directors are women (56%).”
In line with its aim to combat discrimination in the workplace and to foster an inclusive culture, DIAS also recently endorsed the Diversity Charter. The Diversity Charter is a European Commission initiative to promote diversity and equal opportunities in all workplaces.
DIAS’s CEO, Stavroula Kampouridou commented on the endorsement of the WEPs: “In DIAS we zealously espouse and enact principles of mutual respect, cooperation, equal opportunities, and merit-based development, regardless of gender or other discriminative criteria. Thus, we have adopted a holistically inclusive approach, that is offering equal opportunities to all employees to develop themselves based on their individual needs and capacities. Within the same context, we strongly believe that employees that possess knowledge, integrity, boldness, and love for their job deserve to challenge and develop themselves, regardless of any stereotypical approach.”
"At DIAS, we support the right of all colleagues to work in an environment free from discrimination, guided by the values of respect and teamwork. The adoption of the Women's Empowerment Principles is another important step in advocating for the inclusive culture cultivated within the organization and aligns with the dynamic ESG action plan developed by DIAS, focusing on solid operational practices, innovation, and sustainability," notes the HR Manager of DIAS S.A., Maria Agelada.
